Hi guys, next tuesday I will fly to Iceland and I literally can't wait to be there. I think that the landscape is incredible beautiful overthere and ofcourse not to forget the blue lagoon. The last couple of weeks we had pretty nice sunny weather, until a few days ago unfortunately.. I'm already missing these sunny days so I thought that it would be nice to share a sunny look with you during these cloudy days. This look I've shot a few week ago with my dear friend and the result is wonderfull I think. The outfit matches perfectly with the clean backdrop so the outfit totally pops out of it.

When I'm writing this post there are just 2 more weeks left to finish my exam. As you might know, I study fashion design at ROC Tilburg. That's why my exam exists of designing and making my own collection which is called VMTS. VMTS is derived from my full name, Veerle Maria Theodora Scheutjens. For now I can't show you anything of my own collection but you will see it soon on my IG :).

During my stressfull exam period it is really important to take some me time, and where better to do that than at a quiet place in the woods. Here I can get my thoughts free and just not think about the exam but just relax.

In this post I'm wearing my new SOMA London dress which I bought at Asos a few weeks ago. I combined it with a denim jacket for a edgy twist and a pair of wedges for the comfort but also the feminime touch.

Dear readers, sorry for not posting the past 2 weeks. School is taking over my agenda and when I've got a bit of spare time, I'd like to spend it with my family and friends. For now I'm busy with keeping my instagram updated and hope that you also will follow me there.

I shot this outfit a few weeks ago with my mom and while it's a bit too hot now for wearing a biker jacket like this I still would like to share this look with you. The weather here in The Netherlands is always unpredictable... last week it was like 10 degrees and now it's 26 degrees, can you understand it? No neither do I.. With changing weather like this it sometimes is difficult to dress yourself, can I wear a skirt till the knee or is it still to cold for that? With a black jeans and a white shirt your're always doing it right and it's a safe way.

Last week I met up with Desi to shoot this outfit for the blog and it ended pretty nice right? The backdrop matches perfect with the outfit. The suede lace up jacket is definitely the eyecatcher of the outfit. I orderd this jacket a few weeks ago at Asos and didn't really have much expectations of it, but when my order arrived I was quite surpised of how the jacket looked and I'm totally obsessed with it now. It's a really 'one of a kind' piece and I think you won't see many jackets like this one. So what do you think about the jacket? Are you also obsessed with it? Like to hear that from you!

The lace-up is something which we see a lot this season, and I'm quite obsessed with it. I've got a black t-shirt with a lace-up detail at the front, a suede jacket with a lace-up sleeve and this dress now. Pretty nice right? What do you actually think about lace-up? Curious to hear that from you.

If you have been following me for a while, you will maybe regonize the bottom of this outfit. In october I shared this outfit  with you guys, and yes you see it right, it's a dress!! Pretty funny right? and did you even see that it in the first place is a dress? I really like it to mix and match with things like this. It's playing with fashion and that's so much fun to do. Because that's really important right, having fun in the things you like to do.

Yay, the sun is finally out so we can wear cropped tops again, but how to style them? In this post I'm going to share how I style them. The most important thing when it comes to combining it, is that it's very important to wear a high waist skinny jeans, or a skirt which you can wear high at your middle. This to make it more comfortable for yourself but also to make it not over-the-top. Further I would say that the rest of your outfit need to be clean. So not to much bling bling or something like that. When you style it in that way you keep it classy and very fashionable. And that's what we want right?

Normally I never wear gold jewellery, but I made an exception for this outfit. The gold jewellery matches beautifully with the flower plaid blouse. I think it's because of the deep red color that the jewellery stands out beautifully. Oh yes and again, I matched two different prints together, the leopard and the flower-plaid print. Pretty nice right? The colors of the two prints are just perfect together... The deep red and yellow gold are unbeatable.

Life on a farm, it has it's advantages but also certain disadvantages. Like there isn't a supermarket around the corner, so we always have to drive to it for buying a carton of milk or something like that. Also cycling to school takes a lot of time. But an advantage is that we've got a lot of space and silence around us. In the spring and summer time it's fantastic to wake-up and hear the birds whistle. And besides these positive things, we can also organize a party without getting troubles with our neighbours, because we don't have much of them. But even though there are many good things, I think that I rather would live in a city, where you just have to step out of your house and  there are many shops around you and there also isn't that much distance if you'd like to visit something in the city. Other wise you can travel with public transport.

How about color matching in these pictures? Pretty good right? The brown accents match perfectly with the background and the off-white turtleneck is keeping the balance of the color palette in these photos. Like 50% of taking a good photo has to do with the background. When you wear a casual look but photograph it in front of a busy wall or something colorful, the outfit will splash out of it. But I know, it's hard to find the perfect background for your outfit. I also need to deal with it unfortunately. In the area where I live in, we don't have much pretty backgrounds or clean ones. So it's quite hard to find a good one. But I definitely think this one is!

Besides the fact that spring weather is around the corner, we still have some cloudy days to survive. Wearing a furry jacket for protecting myself against the wind is what I need. The look is quite casual but the jacket is defenitly the eye-catcher of the outfit. That because of the fabric the jacket is made of. It looks a bit like the skin of a sheep, white and hairy, but I kinda like it! I combined it with a black cashmere turtleneck and a blue skinny jeans. For the feminime touch I wore a pair of black heeled boots.

Happy Easter everyone!! Today I´ve spended the day with my family and had a brunch earlier this afternoon. Tomorrow I will be at work, so no second day of easter with my family for me. But it´s okay for me! So how did you spend your first easter day? Did you also have a brunch with your family? I'd like to hear that from you!! But let's talk about this look now.

Hi guys! My first DIY is online and I'm pretty excited about what you think of it! One of the latest trends in fashionland is the velvet choker but it's so hard to find a good one, and which fits perfectly.. So I thought, it might be cool to make one. I started with experimenting and actually it's really easy. Underneath I 'll show you how I made my own choker and what you need.

Maybe you've already recognized it on my instagram, but in this post I'm wearing my new boots from Zara. I think they look best when you wear them with blue jeans which are a bit shorter and happily I've got a few of them. The cool thing of this shoe is the a-symmetric heel, so when you wear a shoe like this with a casual outfit, the shoe makes it special.

I think I've already found an addiction for this summer that's called 'mules' which are heels that are comfortable for a walk but they are still sexy. They are available in every color or print so it fits with every outfit. Are you already convinced about this new trend for upcoming spring/summer? If you aren't I'd like to say that also zara and ASOS have payable versions of these beauties. It's also a shoe that you can wear for different occasions like a day at the park, work, school or for an evening in the city. Happy sunday sweethearts! How was your weekend so far? Yesterday we opend the NIKKIE brandstore and NIK&NIK in 's-Hertogenbosch. That's the place where I work since last year and it really is fun. When I was back home from work, I was so tired and I couldn't do anything so the bench and Netflix were my bestfriends last night.

It looks pretty warm with this sun, but it's not. The sun is lying. Besides that the sun is lying, it's also one of my best friends. It gives some light between the darker days and when April begins, the sun starts giving more warmth. When the sun is getting warmer and shining brighter, people get more in the mood. They become happier because a fresh beam of sunshine is a part of what we need in our lives to survive our busy lives.

A white blouse, there are many of them. But the perfect one? That's hard to find. It took 1 year for me (really, 1 year.. crazy right?) to find it. A couple of weeks ago when I had my Christmas vacation and I went with my mom and sister to Roermond Fashion Outlet. Roermond Fashion outlet, as the words says, is a huge shopping centre with only fashion brands like; Nike, Calvin Klein, Burberry you name it, and you can buy clothes of those brands with huge discounts. When we checked out the Ralph Lauren store, I saw my perfect white blouse, hanging there in the reck, there was only one piece of it and when I checked the size I saw that it was my size. I tried it on immediatly and when I came out of the fitting room and checked it in the mirror I knew that this one was my ultimate white blouse!

At first I'd like to thank you guys, this week I reached 3K followers on my instagram and I'm so happy that you guys like what I am doing. I definitely will keep going on with this and I've no idea what this brings for me in the future. But for now I enjoy every second of it when I am working on my blog.

Mixing prints.. It's a difficult thing to do because you don't want to make a carnival of your outfit. It's important to keep the balance in your outfit between the different prints and the best way to do that is keeping the rest of your outfit a bit more simple.
